Madrasa Khanqah of Sultan Al Zahir Barquq-Cairo-Egypt: The octagonal minaret has solid overlapping roundels, column-supported galleries and a copper finial. The original dome next to the minaret collapsed in the nineteenth century. The present dome's surface is plain with a cornice of stalactites at its base.
