View of the Sultan Hassan Mosque-Cairo-Egypt: The founder of this gigantic monument(1356-1363) was Sultan Hassan, the son of the great Mamluk Sultan, An Nasser Mohamed. This mosque is considered one of the largest, not only in Cairo but in the whole Islamic world. It is a massive structure measuring some 150 meters long and 36 meters high.
