Nearly every valley, mountainside and watering hole has Thamudic, Safaitic, Nabataean, Greek or Arabic graffiti litter the cliff faces, with hunting scenes adorns cave walls. There are rudimentary stone age shelters scattered throughout the gorges and, near Jabal Rum.
