Via Recta-Damasco
- Syria: Madhat Basha is the main link between east and west Damascus, from Bab al-Jabieh to Bab Sharqi, and runs parallel to Souq al-Hamidiyeh. The shops along the street are filled with textiles, aromatic spices, wooden handicrafts and sweets. Its adjacent alleys hide a treasure of ancient Damascene houses.
