Crete-Palace of Knossos-Greece Author: Marta Leonor Vidal Text: Minoic columns consisted of a stone basis, but the rest was polychrome cypress wood, abundant in the island. None of the original columns has survived. Evans rebuilt them with cement (a sacrilege for his detractors). |

The famous doplhins fresco dates back to ancient time and it was covered later with other painting of spirals. |
